Houston, TX
  • Spotlight on Siemens’ depth of experience in operational technology and information technology for oil and gas industry
  • ‘Digital Dialogues’ to highlight digital offerings along entire energy value chain at Siemens booth #4361

Siemens, along with the Dresser-Rand business, will showcase its offshore technology portfolio during the upcoming Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston (May 1 – 4), with a focus on its digital solutions for drilling and production platforms and floating, storage and offloading projects.

The company’s industry-leading software portfolio augments its extensive operational experience in offshore environments and helps clients optimize decision-making, increase productivity, maximize capital efficiency, and improve safety and security.

Siemens will feature technical experts from its software solutions and other oil and gas portfolio offerings at its booth (#4361) on the show floor. The booth will include a series of scheduled Digital Dialogues, where speakers will present from Monday to Wednesday on key topics and trends, including digitalization, electrification, production optimization, automation, simulation services, and cyber security.

During these dialogues, Siemens will also introduce new technology to address the industry’s need for increased power density for topside generating equipment in offshore applications.

The company’s emphasis on digital solutions at OTC ties into the oil and gas industry’s long-term requirement to permanently lower production costs. While the industry is no stranger to “Big Data”, the most recent push toward adopting digitalization, or properly harnessing data to its fullest potential, is rapidly becoming a powerful antidote to volatility and rising development costs.

As one of the world’s largest engineering and industrial equipment manufacturers, Siemens has been a pioneer in digitalization, building on its industry-leading expertise in electrification and automation. At OTC, Siemens will feature its powerful software suite for smarter data usage – from automated process analysis to seamless data integration, remote monitoring, preemptive maintenance, and simulated training. Siemens software solutions cover all of the main applications for offshore drilling and production for the entire lifecycle of equipment and assets.

In addition to its Digital Dialogues, Siemens experts will present three technical papers during the technical sessions at OTC.
