"With nearly 70 million smart devices installed globally, we are driven to continue to invest in and develop robust metering technologies that support advanced metering infrastructures and help our customers remain agile in an ever-changing market."

For the third consecutive year, Siemens has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. furthest and highest in the “Leaders” quadrant in its recently published 2016 Magic Quadrant for Meter Data Management Products. Siemens, with its EnergyIP platform, has been recognized for four consecutive years in the report.

In the Magic Quadrant, Gartner, a leading worldwide IT research and advisory firm, evaluates vendors based completeness of vision and ability to execute. In this year’s Gartner Magic Quadrant, fourteen companies are assessed on "Ability to Execute", covering aspects such as products or service, overall viability, market responsiveness/record, marketing execution, operations and customer experience along with "Completeness of Vision".

“We believe recognition by Gartner for the fourth consecutive year, with three of these in the “Leaders” quadrant, is a strong testament to the impact of our meter data management technologies in the market and our ability to innovate in an ever-changing energy environment,” said Mike Carlson, president of Siemens Digital Grid. “With nearly 70 million smart devices installed globally, we are driven to continue to invest in and develop robust metering technologies that support advanced metering infrastructures and help our customers remain agile in an ever-changing market.”
